ዘንድሮ ከ2 ቢልየን በላይ ቡና፣ ከግማሽ ቢልየን በላይ ፍራፍሬ እና ከ400 ሚልየን በላይ የሻይ ተክል ዝግጅት ተጀምሯል። እስካሁን ከነበረን በከፍተኛ ሁኔታ ተሻሽሎ በቡና፣ በፍራፍሬ እና በሻይ ላይ ያተኮር ዝግጅት እያደረግን ነው። ይሄንን በደንብ ተክለን ወደ ምርት ካሳደግነው፣ በአጠቃላይ ኢኮኖሚያችን እና በአየር ንብረት ጥበቃ ላይ የሚኖረው ሚና ከፍተኛ ይሆናል።

Over the past year, more than 2 billion coffee seedlings, more than half a billion fruit seedlings and more than 400 million tea plants are under preparation for the next planting season with improved focus. If we are able to plant these seedlings and nurture them to production, it will have a great impact on our overall economy and efforts to address climate change.

የሌማት ትሩፋት የወተት፣ የዶሮ፣ የዕንቁላል፣ የማር ፣ የዓሣ እና የሥጋ ምርቶችን ለማሻሻል ሀገራዊ የመንግሥት ፕሮግራም ሆኖ እየተተገበረ ይገኛል። በ2015 ዓመት፣ የወተት ምርት፣ የዶሮ እና የሥጋ ምርት መጠን በዕቅዱ መሠረት ጥሩ ወጤት አምጥቷል። በያዝነውም ዓመት የበለጠ ለማሳካት የሁላችንን ያላሰለሰ ጥረት ይሻል።

‘Bounty of the Basket’ (Ye Lemat Tirufat) is a national government program being implemented to improve dairy, poultry, egg, honey, fish and meat production. In the past Ethiopian calendar year, milk production, poultry and meat production rates have marked good results as per the plan. Nevertheless, it requires concerted efforts to ensure better productivity results in the current year.

This year's summer irrigated wheat progress is much more advanced than that of last year and the results so far have been impressive. We are succeeding in our efforts to secure our food sovereignty by farming more than once a year. Our endeavours in all areas will lay the foundations for prosperity.

Our ten year perspective plan for agricultural development seeks to expand horticulture development, which includes fruits, among other key focus areas for the sector. Efforts being made in increasing irrigated horticulture production are showing remarkable results as evidenced through papaya productivity endeavours.
