ከየካቲት 1-4፣2015 ዓ.ም ጥበበ ግዮን ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል ከእስራኤል ሐገር ከሚመጡ ከፍተኛ የቀዶ ህክምና ባለሞያዎች ጋር በመተባበር በዘመናዊ መሳሪያ የታገዘ ከፍተኛ የቀዶ ህክምና (Laparoscopic Surgery) አገልግሎት ይሰጣል::

አገልግሎት የሚሰጥባቸው ዘርፎች

1. የሐሞት ጠጠር ቀዶ ህክምና (Laparascopic cholecystectomy)

2. የጉረሮ ካንሰር እና ሌሎች የጉረሮ ህመሞች ቀዶ ህክምና (Esophageal disease and other related pathologies surgery)

3. የጨጓራ ካንሰር እና ሌሎች ተያያዥ የጤና ችግሮች ቀዶ ህክምና (Gastric cancer and other gastric pathologies surgery)

4. የቆሽት፣ የሐሞት ቱቦ እና የጣፊያ ቀዶ ህክምና (Hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery) እና

5. የአንጀት ካንሰር እና ተያያዥ የጤና ችግሮች ቀዶ ህክምና (Colorectal and other related diseases surgery) ናቸው::

ትብብሩ ሆስፒታሉ ውስጥ በሕክምና አገልግሎት አሰጣጡ የሚሳተፉትን ሐኪሞች ልምድ በማዳበር ረገድ ጉልህ ሚና ይጫወታል።

በቀጣይም ዘለቄታ ባለው መልኩ ሀኪሞችን ወደ እስራኤል ሀገር በመላክ የድህረ-ስፔሻሊቲ ስልጠና እንዲያገኙ ለማድረግ ዝግጅት ላይ ሲሆን ለሆስፒታሉ ብሎም ለአገልግሎት ተጠቃሚ የአካባቢው ማህበረሰብ ከፍተኛ አስተዎጽኦ ያበረክታል ተብሎ ይታመናል።

ስለሆነም በአሁኑ ዙር የድህረስፔሻሊቲ ስልጠና በጋራ ማስጀመሪያ ጭምር ሲሆን አንድ ሰልጣኝ ሐኪም ወደ እስራኤል አብሮ የሚሄድ ይሆናል።

"ሁሉም የስቲም ተማሪዎቻችን ወደ ዩኒቨርስቲ የሚገቡበትን ውጤት አስመዘገቡ"
ባሕርዳር ዩኒቨርስቲ ስቲም ማዕከል

(ጥር 19/2015 ዓ/ም ባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ BDU)የ12ኛ ክፍል መልቀቂያ ፈተና የወሰዱ የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ስቲም ማዕከል ተማሪዎች በሙሉ ወደ ዩኒቨርሲቲ መግቢያ ውጤት አስመዘገቡ።

የ12ኛ ክፍል መልቀቂያ ፈተና የወሰዱ 43 የባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ስቲም ማዕከል ተማሪዎች በሙሉ ከ375 እስከ 621 ውጤት ያመጡ ሲሆን ሙሉ በሙሉ ከ50% በላይ አስመዝግበዋል። ከነዚህም ውስጥ 27ቱ ሴቶች ሲሆኑ 16ቱ ወንዶች ናቸው።

አንድ ተማሪ ብቻ 375 ያስመዘገበ ሲሆን ተማሪዎች ሌሎቹ በሙሉ ከ460 በላይ ነጥብ በማምጣት ከፍተኛ ነጥብ አስመዝግበዋል። ባሕርዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ስቲም ማዕከል ከባሕርዳር ከተማ ከሚገኙ ትምህርት ቤቶች ከ9-12ኛ ክፍል የሚገኙ ተማሪዎችን ከ8ኛ ወደ 9ኛ ሲዛወሩ በሂሳብ፣ በኬሚስትሪ፣ በስነህይወት፣ በፊዚክስና በእንግሊዝኛ ቋንቋ ከ85 እና ከዚያ በላይ ውጤት ያላቸውንና ልዩ የፈጠራ ክህሎት ያላቸው ተማሪዎችን መልምሎ መግቢያ ፈተና በመስጠት ወደዩኒቨርስቲው ስቲም ማዕከል በማስገባት በማስተማር ላይ ይገኛል።

በዚህ ሂደት በዩኒቨርስቲው ትምህርታቸውን የተከታተሉና የ12ኛ ክፍል ከፍተኛ ትምህርት መግቢያ ፈተና ከወሰዱ 43 ተማሪዎች ውስጥ ሁሉም ፈተናውን ከ50% እና ከዚያ በላይ አስመዝግበዋል። በዩኒቨርሲቲያችንም ከፍተኛው ውጤት 621 ሆኖ ተመዝግቧል።

(ጥር 16፣ 2015 ዓ.ም፣ ባሕር ዳር)፦በባሕር ዳር ዩኒቨርሲቲ ጥበበ ግዮን ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል የደም መርጋት ወደ አንጎል ደም የሚወስደውን የደም ቅዳ ቧንቧ ሲዘጋ ወይም ሲያጠብ በሚከሰት ስትሮክ (Ischemic stroke) የተጠቁ ህሙማንን ከዓለም የስትሮክ ድርጅት በተደረገለት rtPA (alteplase) መድኃኒት በመጠቀም እንዲሁም በአሜሪካን ሀገር በቴክሳስ ዩኒቨርሲቲ የስትሮክ ድህረ_ስፔሻሊስት ሀኪም ዶክተር መሃሪ ገብረዮሐንስ ጋር በመተባበር የሕክምና አገልግሎት በመስጠት ላይ ይገኛል።

በደም ማጠር ምክኒያት የሚከሰትን አጣዳፊ ስትሮክ ('Acute Ischemic Stroke') በ 'rtPA' (alteplase) የህመም ምልክቱ በጀመረ በ4.5 ሰዓት ውስጥ ከተሰጠ ውጤታማ በመሆኑ ታካሚዎች የእድሉ ተጠቃሚ መሆን እንዳለባቸው ዶክተር ሙሉጌታ ቢያድጌ የጥበበ ግዮን ስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል የነርቭ ሐኪም አሳስበዋል።

መድሀኒቱ በኢትዮጵያ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ ጥቅም ላይ የዋለ ሲሆን በሆስፒታሉ የስትሮክ ህመም እንክብካቤ አገልግሎት አሰጣጥ ላይ ትልቅ ለውጥ እንዳመጣ ዶ/ር ሙሉጌታ አክለው ተናግረዋል።

Bahir Dar University Alumna’s account of her former BiT
The current software engineer of the big Microsoft Company, Eden Melaku was a student at Bahir Dar University in 2013. Among female graduates, she was awarded a gold medal with 3.97 average high score and a gold medal with a high score from the computer faculty and a certificate of recognition for doing the best graduation project of the year by the faculty. Her stay at Bahir Dar University testified that she has contributed to her identity today. In addition, she helped the institution she studied and the students in different ways. She's all in the way.
Bahir Dar Institute of Technology would like to express its gratitude for all the support given to Eden.

"My name is Eden Melaku Mulugeta. I graduated from the software engineering department in february 2021. I am a software engineer at Microsoft.
I joined BDU in 2015 as a freshman student in Yibab campus, after a year, the Computing faculty moved some students to peda and I was part of that. I completed my second year study in peda campus and moved to poly campus for my 3rd and remaining years of study. I had adventures and memorable times at Bahir Dar University.
During my 5 year study in BIT I had the privilege to learn the basics of programming and software engineering from amazing teachers who went above and beyond to help me build a foundation that I can thrive on. My department has an excellent curriculum designed to prepare us with skill and mindset for the corporate and entrepreneurial world. I thank all my teachers for helping me achieve my goal. I would like to give special gratitude to teachers who made me fall in love with software engineering. My first year object oriented design teacher Mr. Asegahegn, my object oriented programming and advanced programming teacher Mr. Desta Berihu.
I got the opportunity to stay the summer and work on a project under the help of an advisor after completing my second year that gave me extra time to work on real world problems outside of regular classes. I would like to thank the computing faculty and Dr. Gebeyehu for organizing this.
I would like to thank the ICT4D research center for helping me during my final year project with materials, office space and technical advice. BIT has an excellent staff from teachers to administration, I am so happy to study in an institute determined to create high-skilled, valuable engineers.
I would like to help BIT with mentoring graduating students to prepare them for technical interviews, which can help them get a job in big tech companies; I can give technical training and workshops. I will also participate in the poly alumni network on a variety of projects it is working on.

A Public Speech by the famous technologist, Solomon Kassa, with a crowd of audiences in Washera Hall, has been presented at BiT-BDU today. The program was opened and closed by the national anthem. The institute has witnessed the biggest turnout and an overflow of its hall in the history of it’s public speech stages.

Dr. Firew Tegegne, President of Bahir Dar University, made the opening remarks, speaking about Solomon's nobility, how he is using television and social media to teach people about science and technology. He also mentioned the success story of the institute including its good progress on the accreditation application and evaluation from the USA based globally known Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) process.

Solomon's multidisciplinary and broad-ranging presentation addressed the importance and adaptability in AI with its positive and negative impact, climate change and its influence, global health and the insinuation of Covid pandemic, agriculture, future technologies, and the role of Africa in shaping the future of humanity.

He also talked about the resources we have as Africans and the Ethiopian status of creativity and progress. According to his speech, reforms are needed in which we shall focus about the future rather than our previous flaws, which will prevent us from achieving what we can in the future.

Mr. Elias Tefera, founder and CEO of FARIS Aerospace, Robotics & AI Technology Institute has also delivered a motivational speech for youth and the BiT community on innovation and strategy.

Finally, wisdom package and a gift made in Seifu BiT Makerspace has been presented to the speakers by the President of BDU.

In addition, Solomon and Elias has paid a visit to Seifu BiT Makerspace and made a fruitful discussion with the BiT management on how to make a tripartite strong collaboration.
