Teachers and their technical assistants working in all Ethiopian universities are under strike for an indefinite period of time starting 4 December 2022.

The university teachers have been peacefully asking for the government for the past few months about improvement on starting salary, getting tax-free house rents, improvement on the amount of third-degree research funds, overtime payments and other benefits. However, as the government ignored to respond to their demands, teachers and their technical assistants working in all Ethiopian universities went on strike and continued their peaceful struggle.

The question of the university teachers is a pressing and current question of the majority of government employees, so all government employees should join the peaceful struggle of the teachers.

1. ኦሮሞማ ለራሱ ሲሆን ወዝ የጠገበ ሽማግሌ አለው። ደም አፍስሶ ፣ ግንባሩን ፈርስ ተቀብቶ ልጆቹን እነ አባ ቢቹን ፣ አባ ቡልጉን ፣ አባ ዱላን ፣ አባ ሜጫን ፣ አባ ጭቡን መክሮ ፣ አስምሎ አስታርቋል። በእርግጥ የኦሮሞ ሽማግሌ ከጎሳው ውጭ ሲሆን በተለይ ለአማራ ከሊቅ እስከ ደቂቅ ጆሮው አይሰማም።

The process to stop the genocide from happening again to any people, starts with condemning the crime that has been committed and calling it by its name and establishing accountability.

Considering the genocide based on identity as a common crime, denying it and trying to create a propaganda narrative equivalent to the act, is considered as giving approval to the horrible genocide and facilitating its continuation.

Denying the ethnic cleansing of the Amhara people and considering it as ordinary murder is not to ensure the rule of law and it is giving approval for the genocide to be carried out on other peoples as well.
