It is clear that more than 140 thousand citizens of Amaro Special District are at risk of starvation.

Ethiopians in the south, north, east and west know that more than 140 thousand citizens have been exposed to extreme hunger in the last six years of conflict caused by militants who are said to come from Guji, which borders the Amaro special district.

In a statement issued by the Izema office of the special district's Kele constituency, he said that although a large number of people are in urgent need of food aid due to the conflict, the information has not been delivered to the Federal Disaster Risk Management Commission for the past five weeks.

In the last six years, 44,202 people were displaced due to the conflict in more than 20 kebeles located in Amaro Special District, and 96,440 people were injured due to drought - a total of 140,642 people were felt to be at risk.

It is a public fact that the Izema office in Amaro did not provide information to the National Disaster Risk and Management Commission regarding the people who were displaced by the conflicts and the citizens who were victims of the drought that occurred in the special district. Therefore, we need support from all Ethiopians... There are many mothers and children who have come to Kele city from the kebeles due to hunger and are engaged in begging. It's for the side!!!
