This happened back in 2005. The 12 year old Ethiopian girl has been taken by 7 men who wanted to f.orce her to marry one of them. She had been guarded by the lions for about half a day until when the police found her.

An Ethiopian wildlife expert said the lions may have spared the girl because her crying may have sounded like the mewing sound from a lion cub. Others thought that it was some kind of miracle, because normally the lions would a.ttack people.
