Job Title: #Digital_Media_Officer

• CONTRACT TYPE: Service Contract Level 8
• UNIT/DIVISION: Communication
• DUTY STATION: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• DURATION: 12 months with a possibility of extension.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Communications, the Digital Media Specialist will perform the following tasks:
1. Coordinate the production of high-quality communication materials to support the communication strategy. When appropriate, directly produce the materials
2. Support management of WFP’s social media platforms and content generation.
3. Design communications products and support WFP units with content layout and production.
4. Edit videos and digital media assets for deploying on WFP digital channels to drive messaging to specific audiences.
5. support donor visibility through creation of digital media products targeting WFP key donors.
6. Be a brand guardian and build capacity of WFP colleagues on tone, branding and communications
7. Ensure successful production & distribution of required materials
8. Support the communications unit with marketing advice and implementation of WFP communication goals beyond the application

Qualifications/SkillsSTANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: First or advanced university degree in Communication, Marketing, Sales, or other relevant fields.
• Experience: At least three 1 years of progressively responsible experience in communications and marketing.

Additional Competencies:
• Knowledge of the local / regional communications landscape
• Experience in the humanitarian field
• Experience with social media and online communication
• Ability to interact with managers with maturity and tact
• Mature judgment with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels
• Languages: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Amharic.

Education Level:Bachelor's
Experience:1-3 years
