2022-07-08 21:03:27 “I am enough. I am full of sparkle and of compassion. I genuinely want to make the world a better place. I love hard. I practice kindness. I am not afraid of the truth. I am loyal, adventurous, supporting, and surprising. I am enough. I make mistakes, but I own them and I learn from them. And sometimes I make a lot of mistakes. But I am enough.”

2022-07-08 06:11:29 The hujjaj are presently resting in Mina, anxiously awaiting the highlight of their journey, to leave for ‘Arafah tomorrow. The day of ‘Arafah is what the hujjaj go for!

They will stand on the plains of ‘Arafah, hands raised, tears rolling down their cheeks, hearts fractured, quivering and filled with hope. They will implore their Lord for forgiveness, lodge their complaints with Him and beg for their needs. They’ve come from every part of the world, dust covered and unkempt, rich and poor are all equal before Allah. They will stand supplicating, invocating and beseeching their Lord in utmost humility. The scene is so incredible that Allah will boast to His angels about His slaves who came all that way for His sake.

How many will, after that standing at ‘Arafah, return home free of sin, freed from the Hellfire. The pilgrims will be standing in devotion to Allah, leaving all worldly things behind them, not concerned with the material, not concerned with their appearance. Their hearts and souls are invested in their Lord, they feel His presence like at no other time and call upon Him, pleading with Him and pouring their hearts out before Him.

On that day, Allah will free more people from the Hellfire than on any other day. He will descend during the day (whereas He normally descends to the lowest heaven only in the last third of the night) and boast to His angels of those at ‘Arafah.

Tomorrow, as the hujjaj stand at ‘Arafah, they will realize that there indeed is no difference between a black man and a white man or between an Arab and a non-Arab; all stand there for one and the same purpose, turning to One and the same Lord. All confess their weakness before and servitude to Allah. There, they’ll look around and be reminded of a greater gathering, the gathering on the Day of Resurrection before Allah. They will, even if for just a moment, see that the world is indeed temporary and fleeting, not lasting and eternal. Every pilgrim will proceed to ‘Arafah tomorrow feeling the weight and burden of their sins; their hope and goal is one, to leave ‘Arafah after having dropped that heavy load. Their dream is to leave behind their sins and transgressions, to leave ‘Arafah having been pardoned by the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. They know for an absolute fact that none has the power nor authority to pardon them, but the One Who is Swift and Severe in punishment while He is also the Most Forgiving Who loves to pardon. They have no doubt that they are at His mercy, and so they turn completely to Him. They forget about “this life” for those moments and live another reality altogether.

They actualize tawhid in word and action; they repeatedly say لا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير
They testify to the Oneness of Allah, Who has no partner. They acknowledge His sovereignty over all things and praise and hallow Him and confess the He is ever Powerful and capable over all things.
As you walk through ‘Arafah, you hear the pilgrims chanting: لبيك اللهم لبيك، لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك، إن الحمد والنعمة لك والملك لا شريك لك

Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise and blessings are Yours, and all sovereignty, You have no partner.

The day of ‘Arafah is the day the hujjaj yearn for. May Allah accept them and may He grant them what they have gone for.
