The sound system in the Haramain !
More than 8000 speakers transmit the Adhan, the Iqāmah, Salahs and the Khutbahs from Al Masjid Al Haram, its courtyards and surroundings.
Whereas in Al Masjid Al Nabawī, 2900 speakers are distributed throughout the Haram.
Around 22 microphones are distributed in Al Masjid Al Haram whereas in Al Masjid Al Nabawī there are 31.
There are 3 sound systems in the Haramain, just in case they fail.
- The main sound system
- The backup sound system
- The emergency sound system
More than 170 technicians look after the sound system in the Haramain, and they adjust the system from the Imams and the Muadhins microphone according to what is appropriate for everyone to hear.
