ሰላም የሀኪም ገፅ ቤተሰቦች ፤ ስሜ ዶ/ር ሰገን ዮሐንስ ሲሆን የምሰራው በዳግማዊ ምኒሊክ ሪፈራል ሆስፒታል የህፃናት ህክምና ስፔሻሊስትነት ነው።
ልጄ ሚካኤል ዳንኤል ከሁለት ሳምንት በፊት 8ተኛ ዓመቱን የያዘ ሲሆን 1 ዓመት ከ7 ወር በፊት ኤ ኤል ኤል (ALL) በሚባል የደም ካንሰር አይነት ከተገኘበት በኅላ ለህክምና ወደ ቱርክ በመሄድ ብዙ ወጪ በማውጣት ለ8 ወራት ኬሞቴራፒ ህክምና የወሰደ ሲሆን ከዛ ከተመለሰ በኀላም ህክምናውን በመከታተል ላይ ነበር።
ነገር ግን የዛሬ 3 ሳምንት አካባቢ እንደገና በሽታው መመለስ በማሳየቱ ይከታተሉት የነበሩ ሀኪሞኘች በአሁኑ ግዜ ኬሞቴራፒ ፣ ጨረር ህክምና እና የመቅኔ ንቅለ ተከላ እንደሚያስፈልገው ተነግሮናል። ይህም ህክምና በሀገራችን የሚሰጥ ባለመሆኑ የጥቁር አንበሳ እስፔሻላይዝድ ሆስፒታል በቦርድ ውሳኔ ወደ ውጭ ሄዶ እንዲታከም ወስኗል።
ለመቅኔ ንቅለ ተከላ የተጠየቅነው ዋጋ እጅግ በጣም ከፍተኛ በመሆኑ እኔም የመንግስት ሰራተኛ በመሆኔ እና ለጤና ባለሞያ ምንም የጤና ኢንሹራንስ ባለመኖሩ ይህንን ለመሸፈን ተቸግሬአለሁ።

Hello Hakim page members. My Name is Dr. Segen Yohannes, I’m a pediatrician working in Minilik ll referal hospital.
My son, Michael Daniel who just turned 8 years old 2 weeks back is a grade one student. He has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) 1 year and 7 months back. He was treated with intensive chemotherapy at Istanbul, Turkey and he stayed there for 8 months because there were no adequate equipments (for risk stratification and flow cytometry) in our set up.
He was currently taking his maintainace chemotherapy for the past 9 months.
But unfortunatly, 3 weeks back he developed right testicular swelling and he was investigated and showed he has bilateral testicular infiltrates with lymphoblasts, which means the cancer has come back again.
My Son Michael’s relapse has been very devastating to me and my family. We were so very hopeful the first treatment would have sufficed.
The doctors have told me that he now needs intensive chemotherapy, radiotherapy and bone marrow transplant. Since this treatment is not given in our country, medical board from Tikur Anbessa hospital, suggested that he get his treatment abroad.
The expense for bone marrow transplantation is too expensive, if you are able to help me out to cover some of the expense I would really appriciate it.
I have spent most of my life helping children who are sick and in need by my proffesion but now I couldn't even afford to help my son. If you are willing to help me out, this is my account. Thank you.
