The government of Addis Ababa City has announced that selected | Ethiopian Business Daily
The government of Addis Ababa City has announced that selected government offices will require their employees to work on holidays, including Saturdays and Sundays.
The General Manager of Addis Ababa City Administration under title of Deputy Mayor, Ato Tolatu Yeene, stated that the decision was made to improve service provision and address the challenges of traffic congestion in the city. In order to provide better services, the capacity for 24-hour service should be created in the city.
A study is currently being conducted to determine which offices will be required to work more than 8 hours.
The report emphasizes the need to expand and implement high-quality services on weekends and holidays due to the limited hours available for employees to attend to various issues and the heavy traffic in the city.
