We have conducted an Inauguration and Orientation Meeting for the African Volunteers Health Corps (AVoHC) SURGE Selection Committee Members.

This committee has been established from different directorates of MOH and EPHI and will be working in selection, training and deploying experts in times of emergencies.

My deepest thanks to WHO and Africa CDC for the continued support.

2023-02-13 20:18:25 በባንኮክ፤ ታይላንድ በሚገኘዉ Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) የተሳካ የልምድ ልዉዉጥ ጉብኝት አድርገናል። ይህ ጉብኝት በ Building Resilience in Ethiopia/ Oxford Policy Management (BRE/ OPM) የተዘጋጀ ሲሆን በሕብረተሰብ ጤና አደጋዎች ቁጥጥር አመራር ላይ ልምድ ለመለዋወጥ ያለመ ነዉ።

ከዚህ በተጨማሪም በታይላንድ የሕብረተሰብ ጤና ሚኒስቴር ዉስጥ የሚገኘዉን የሕብረተሰብ ጤና አደጋዎች የስራ ክፍል፣ የበሽታዎች ቁጥጥር የስራ ክፍል ውስጥ የሚገኘዉን የኢፒዲሞሎጂ የስራ ዘርፍ ክፍል፣ የታይላንድ ብሄራዊ የድንገተኛ ህክምና ኢንስቲትዩት እና በሀገሪቱ ታላቅ የሆነዉን ራጃቪቲ የሶስተኛ ደረጃ ሆስፒታልን ጎብኝተናል።

በመቀጠልም ከADPC ጋር በጋራ ለመስራት የሚያስችለንን የስምምነት ሰነድ ተፈራርመናል። የADPC አመራር ላደረገልን አቀባበል ምስጋናዬን እየገለፅኩ የBRE/ OPM ባልደረቦች ይህ ጉብኝት የተሳካ እንዲሆን ላደረጉት አስተዋፅኦ ከልብ አመሰግናለሁ።

We had a successful learning tour at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) based in Bangkok, Thailand. This tour organized by Building Resilience in Ethiopia/ Oxford Policy Management (BRE/ OPM) mainly focuses on sharing experiences on Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) Leadership Capacity Development.

We have also visited the Department of Public Health Emergency at the Ministry of Public Health; Department of Disease Control - Division of Epidemiology; National Institute of Emergency Medicine and Rajavithi Hospital which is the largest tertiary referral center.

We had various discussions on areas of coordination and signed an MOU with ADPC for collaborative works. I would like to thank the ADPC leadership for the warm welcome and BRE-OPM colleagues for organizing this learning visit.
