A workshop is being held regarding women's land ownership rights

Debre Markos University | Ethiopia | March,15/2023 | (Public Relations and Communication Directorate) Debre Markos University Institute of Land administration in collaboration with the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) held a 4 day workshop regarding women's land ownership rights. Three scientists from Boku University, senior leaders and teachers of Debre Markos University are taking part in the the workshop.

Dr. Ayelech Kide, a teacher at Debra Markos University's Institute of Land Administration, said the project will last for two years, and the Institute of Land Administration and the School of Law will work together to identify what loopholes and other challenges the law has on women's land ownership in order to include women in the land registration system and provide equal benefits.

Sayeh Kassaw (PhD), Associate professor and Researcher at the Institute of Land Administration, in his part, stated that the relationship between the two universities was established through a private educational opportunity. He mentioned that modernizing the education, digitizing the teaching and learning and supplementing the teaching materials are the activities carried out and are being carried out by the two universities' project.
