The health department of the Gofa Zone has announced the outbreak of cholera epidemic in various drought-hit Weredas including Sawla City, which is 514 kilometers away from the capital Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Gofa Zone chief administrator, Mr. Getnet Begashaw, has called on the allied parties and institutions to support the measures being taken by his administration in preventing and controlling the epidemic.

He also urged all the government office staff and local communities to take all administrative as well as measures instructed by the Healthy officers.
