ንጉሱ በትክክል ሠላምን ሊወክል የሚችል ስዕል መሳል ለቻለ አርቲስት(የስዕል ሙያተኛ) ወሳኝ የሆነ ሽልማት ለመስጠት ተዘጋጅቶ አሳወጀ፡፡ ብዙ የስዕል ሙያተኞችም ሙከራ አደረጉ፡፡ ነግር ግን ንጉሱ የቀረቡትን ስዕሎች ሲመለከት ሁለት ስዕሎችን ብቻ ወደደ፡፡ ንጉሱ ቀልቡ ካረፈባቸው ሁለት ስዕሎች አንዱን መምረጥ የተዘጋጀውን ሽልማት መስጠት ነበረበት፡፡

አንደኛው ስዕል ፀጥ ያለ ባሕርን የሚወክል ስዕል ነው፡፡ አሳሳሉም ባሕሩ በዙሪያው ያሉትን የተራራ ማማዎች እንደ መስታውት አንጸባርቆ ለተመልካች ቅርብ ያደርጋል፡፡ አናቱ ላይም በነጭ ደመና ተሸፍኖ ሰማዩ አርብቦበታል፡፡

ይህን ስዕል የተመለከተ ማናቸውም ሰው እውነተኛ የሠላም ምልክት አድርጎ ሊወስደው የሚችል የአሳሳልጥበብ ያረፈበት ነው፡፡
ሌላኛው ስዕል እንዲሁ የተራራ ስዕል ሲሆን በተራራው ላይ የሚታየው የተራቆተና ያገጠጠ አለት በላዩ ላይም ቁጣ የሚነበብብት ሰማይ የዝባብ እንባውን ሊያንጠባጥ በብልጭታ ጥፊ እየተመታ ይታያል፡፡ በተራራው ጎንም የሚያጓራ ፏፏቴ ይታይበታል፡፡ ስዕሉን ላየ ጨርሶ የሠላም ስሜት የማይፈጥር ስዕል ነበር፡፡ ነገር ግን ንጉሱ ተጠግተው በአንክሮ ሲመለከቱት በፏፏቴው መውረጃ ጀርባ በተሰነጠቀው አለት ላይ ትንሽየ ቁጥቋጦ በቁጥቋጦው ላይ ደግሞ ወፏ ጎጆዋን ቀልሳ ተመለከቱ፡፡ በዛ በተናወጠው የፏፏቴ ድምጽ መሃል ወፏ በፍጹም ሠላም ተቀምጣለች፡፡
የትኛው ስዕል የአሸናፊነት ሽልማቱን የሚወስድ ይመስላችኋል? ንጉሱ የመረጡት ስዕል ሁለተኛው ስዕል ነበር፡፡

ለምን እንደመረጡት ንጉሱ ሲያብራሩ “ሠላም ማለት ምንም አይነት ድምጽ በማይሰማበት፣ ሁከትና ጫጫታ በሌለበት ስፍራ መሆን ማለት አይደለም፡፡ ሠላም ማለት ያለነው በግር ግር መሃል ቢሆንም ፀጥ ያለ ልብ ሲኖረን ሠላም አለን ማለት ነው፡፡ እሱ ነው እውነተኛና ፍፁም ሠለም፡፡” አሉ፡፡ መጽሐፉም የሠላም መጓደልን ሲያጠይቅ አፋቸው ዝም ብሏል በልባቸው ግን ብርቱ ሰልፍ አለባቸው እንዳለው፡፡ ውስጣችን ሠላም ሲያጣ በሆነ ባልሆነው መበሳጨት እንጀምራለን፡፡ እንዲሁም ደግሞ በተቃራኒው ያለው እውነት ነው፡፡

እርግጥ ነው ኃላፊነትን በፀጋ መቀበል እና ሳይሸራርፉ በተጨባጭ መወጣት ፈታኝ ነው። አስተዋይ አእምሮ እና ቅን ልቦና በምርጫና መንገድህ ካልተለየህ ግን በድል ትወጣዋለህ። ድሉም ከበደል የፃዳ ይሆናል። ድሉ ከራስህ አልፎ አለምን ስለሚጠቅም መልካሙ ስርህ ሄዶ ዞሮ ሲመለስ በጎ ምላሽ ማግኘትህ አይቀሬ ነው። ወርቅ ለሰጠ ወርቅ እና ጠጠርም ለሰጠ ጠጠር ማግኘት ተፈጥሯዊ ህግና የህይወት ነባራዊ እውነታ ነውና።

መልካምነት ከማንም በላይ ላራስ ነው ጥቅምና ፍይዳው። ቅን ሀሳብ አሳቢውን ይባርካል። ሴራ፣ ተንኮል እና ክፍት ህሊናና ልብህን ከሞላው ግን ሌላው ይቅርና መልካም እንቅልፍ እንኳ ብርቅ እና ሩቅ እንደሚሆኑብህ ልነግርህ እችላለሁ። አዳርህ በመባነን እና መበርገግ ይሞላል። ቀን ያሳደድከው በህልምህ መግቢያና መሸሸጊያ ጥግ ያሳጣሀል። ከሀያ አራት ሰዐት እለታዊ ኑሮና ህይወትህ ውስጥ በአንድ ስምንት ሰዐት ያህሉ አሰቃየህ እኮ already። የቀን ፀሀይ ብርሀን ውሎህም ቀላል በማይባል ጊዜና እድሜ ልክ በራሴን፣ ምንትሴን ወዘተ ፈለጠኝ ቆረጠኝ አያማልጥም። ቀን ከሌት የዘራሀቸው ክፍቶች ሌሎችን ብቻ ሳይሆን የአንተን የገዛ ራስህንም ገላም ይቧጥጣሉ። ከአንተ የመነጨና ተንደርድሮ የተተኮሰ ኃይል በእኩል መጠን እና ልክ አጥፊ እንደሆነ ራስህንም ያጠፍል፤ አልሚ ከአደረከው ደግሞ ቅድሚያ አንተን እና የእኔ የምትለውን ሁሉ ባርኮ ለሌሎች ይተርፋል።

ይህ የህይወት ሀቅ ከፊዚክስ action/reaction ተፈጥሮአዊ ህግ ጋር ይመሳሰላል። አፍርሰህ አትቆምም። ጠልተህ ፍቅርን አታተርፍም። ወደህ ላትከበር፣ ትህትናን ሰጥተህ ልትናቅ፣ አሳቢና አስታዋሽ ሆነህ ሳለ ልትረሳ አትችልም። ምክንያቱ ደግሞ ምዕራባዊያን እንደሚሉት የሄደ ነገር ተመልሶ ይመጣልና ነው (what goes around comes around)። አበውም አሳ ጎርጓሪ ዘንዶ ያወጣል፣ የሰው ፈላጊ የራሱን ያጣል፤ በቆፈሩት ጉድጒድ መቀበር አይቀርም ወዘተረፈ ብለውናል።
