Recognition Ceremony Held
The
Students’ Wellness and Success Unit, in collaboration with the Students’
Support and Services Office, organized a recognition ceremony, on August 15, 2022, targeting Students who
actively participated in extra-curricular activities. These students had varying duties in their respective clubs; some were
leaders and others
active members. Of the six clubs, four have been found to be active in their day-to-day operations. In his PowerPoint presentation,
Elias Getaye, President of the Student Union, picked out the Charity Club, Book Club, Hagerigna and Tour Club, and Literature and Entertainment Club for the recognition, among the six clubs on campus.
During the event, it was revealed that students who had active involvement in clubs improved their social skills and gained experiences in leadership. Present at the event were students, academic and admin staff.
The awardees received certificates of recognition from the Executive V/President of SMU.
