Tsome Fileseta- The Fast of the Assumption of St. Mary is the Fast which apostles held as they wanted the body of St.Mary and a fast which later on enables them to see Her Assumption.

This year we are fasting with a lot of grief and sorrow. When the apostles were carrying the body of Our Lady to bury, the Jews only sent Tawfania but now at this day and age; looking at what is being done to the bodies of martyrs , it's making us to say that he hasn't done much.
O Theotokos, Mother of God, to whom do we tell the sorrows of our heart except to thee?. Who will give us comfort and consolation except thee?.

Look upon your devoted faithfuls who are spending the Filesta time outside, in this bitterly cold time after moving out from their cosy homes. O mother of light St.Mary, Look upon to those Christians who believes in your beloved Son.

Make our fasting, prayer and retreat time, a peace for our country Ethiopia, resting time for our holy church and a time of forgiveness and remission of our sins.
